I have a varied skill set which includes understanding of the following programming languages: Java, PHP, an beginner knowledge C++, and VB.net . My skill set also includes the configuration and maintenance of a LAMP stack running on the CentOS Linux distribution (Red Hat based), and on the Red Hat Linux distribution. Along with the previously mentioned Linux distribution I have experience using Debin, and Ubuntu (which is Debian based). I also have understanding of using the SSH terminal service, and the use of terminal software Remote Desktop and VNC. Coupled with my Linux knowledge I have a working knowledge of the SAMBA sharing service, and a working knowledge in maintaining a Windows network. My programming experience has an emphasis in web based technologies, PHP and MySQL. Using both PHP and MySQL, I have setup, maintained, and customized the Drupal Content Management System (CMS), and have a comprehensive knowledge of versions 5 and 6. The Drupal CMS also uses the open source Javascript toolkit, jQuery. With the use of jQuery, I have an understanding of AJAX web based work flow, and CSS manipulation. My web development environment consists of Firefox and the Firebug plugin. My Java experience is related to creating a Cross platform applications. One of the most intricate of which was used to build Yearbooks. The Yearbook application used the Eclipse IDE for the development environment, Apache Ant to build the application on Windows and Macintosh platforms, and I used the Nullsoft Scriptable Install System (http://nsis.sourceforge.net) for the Windows Installer. Another notable achievement, with the Java programming language was the implementation of the Mistral and JAI image libraries, to allow the use of processing high-res images.
